This beautiful short-handled Saz comes from Turkey. This musical instrument is of very good quality, its body is made of mahogany wood and its soundboard in spruce. It has a small opening on the side to allow a more or less open and loud sound.

The body of the kamenche consists of a round neck which passes through a small round sound box made of coconut covered with a thin membrane of sheepskin. Traditionally, kamanches once had three silk strings, however modern models have four metal strings.

Kürschner strings are excellent oud strings that are very popular and used by many professional players. They offer an extremely bright sound and good sustain. Game available in low (C to C) or high (F to F) Arabic tuning with medium tension.
